Financial Update – May 2021
Welcome to your monthly newsletter.
As we enter the last month of Spring, Summer is on the horizon. With it comes a clear view of the 21st June, a date which we remain optimistic about. But first, May has plenty to offer on its own. Two Bank Holidays, pubs and restaurants opening their doors to indoor service, and we can now wave goodbye to any April showers… we hope! Who can tell with the weather we’ve been having recently?
You might be aware that May is partly celebrated as National Smile Month, which runs from May 17th to June 17th. You’d be forgiven for thinking that those smiles coincide with the ability to sit inside a pub and order a pint, but it’s actually a campaign for good dental and oral health. Still, let’s hope this month really can put a smile on everyone’s face.
In the past, May has been a month that’s given plenty of excuses for smiles. Not least for being the month in which an Allied victory brought the end to war in Europe in 1945. Less than a decade later, in 1954, Roger Bannister broke a running record and introduced us all to the four minute mile. May of 1962 brought us the 45th birthday of US President JFK, and importantly, Marilyn Monroe’s iconic rendition of Happy Birthday took place at his Madison Square Garden fundraiser event.
As always, if you have any concerns or questions we’re here and happy to help, so don’t hesitate to get in touch.
