Financial Update – October 2020
Welcome to your monthly newsletter.
We don’t know if it’s just us, but this year has flown by. Perhaps it is because this year has been so different to a ‘normal’ year; time has taken on a life of its own.
After a September in which we experienced something of an ‘Indian Summer’, the nights are drawing in and the trees are turning red, brown and gold. Autumn is really here.
This October, there are two full moons, one on the 1st and the other on the 31st. The second full moon is known as the Hunter’s Moon. This is because, in years gone by, October’s full moon came to signify the ideal time for hunting game, which were becoming fatter from eating falling grains. Villagers would take advantage and hunt as much game as possible before the hard winter struck.
And, as this full moon will be the second in October, it will also be a Blue Moon. Thus, singular occurrences on 31 October really will be “once in a Blue Moon”.
We are aware that further lockdown restrictions remain a possibility this month. Please contact us if you have any concerns about restrictions and their impact on your personal situation.
